Padstow has increased
its
fame of late through Rick Stein. His main Seafood Restaurant does have a fantastic
menu, but you do need to book well in advance to get a table - particularly in
the Summer.
There are other Rick
Stein outlets in the town - too many to mention in a brief overview like this.
But it means a day can be spent exploring them all - and several days if you
want to eat in them as well.
Padstow is an old
fishing village. So there are some good boat trips to enjoy, such as:

mackerel or sea bass |
![bullet](_themes/copy-of-pixel/apixbul1.gif) | bird watching for
puffins, gannets, etc |

to Rock |
The estuary offers
superb beaches as well. On Padstow's side of the estuary, you walk about a
mile along the footpath from the town, past the crazy golf course to uncrowded,
but tidal beaches. Across the river, by the ferry and you can walk round
to Daymer Bay, enjoying the sand dunes and St Enodoc's church on the way.
